About Me

Hometown: Mililani, Hawaii

When I started doing hair: 1994

When I started at The Parlour: 1997

What inspires/motivates me in the industry:

The constant change of the fashion and hair excites me. I love to give my clients their perfect new look. I also love working with different textures of hair and figuring out how to work with it rather than against it. My peers creativity inspires me as well.

What I am happiest doing:

Spending time with my family and friends, traveling, shopping, riding my sweet scooter, exercising, cooking, reading and making my clients happy!

Additional Industry Involvement:

I have been an educator at The Parlour since 2003 and led Men’s hair cutting education for 9 years. Most recently, I co-developed the curly hair cutting technical phase.

What I love most about The Parlour:

I love the quality of internally and externally led education that helps us grow professionally and personally. I work for the best people on the planet and they make every day a joy to be here. We have the best clients and oh yeah… of course I love my co-workers, they are like family to me!

I hired Kelly in September 1997 on the Wynkoop Brewery Patio, went back into the LoDo salon, it was crazy busy, went back outside and said “I need you to start right now.” Since then, she’s protected The Parlour like no other. She’s taught us “Hawaiian Time.”
