How a haircut works here
Every cut starts with a few minutes of us listening. What do you want, what have you tried, what’s worked, what hasn’t, what’s the maintenance window you actually live in. Then we look at your hair, your texture, the way it grows, and how it falls when it’s dry. Then we cut.
If you bring a reference photo, great. If you don’t, also great. If your reference photo isn’t going to do what you want it to do on your hair type, we’ll tell you that and offer an honest alternative. We’d rather have that conversation in the chair than send you out with a cut you don’t love.
The cuts we do
Women’s haircuts (from $60). Long layers, lobs, bobs, blunt cuts, shags, curtain bangs, blunt bangs, micro bangs, grown-out shapes, anything in between. We’ll cut for how your hair behaves day to day, not just how it looks blown out in the chair.
Men’s haircuts (from $60). Clean classic shapes, longer textured cuts, fades, scissor cuts, beard line cleanup. If you’ve been getting the same cut for years and want to talk about something new, the consult portion of the appointment is the place to do that.
Gender-affirming haircuts (from $60). This is a haircut. Same starting price, same chair, same standard. You can ask for the cut you want without translating it through other categories. If you’re trying a new shape for the first time, we’ll talk through what works with your hair texture and growth pattern, then cut accordingly. If you want a stylist with specific experience here, mention that when you book and we’ll match you.
Kids’ haircuts, 12 and under (from $30). Cuts for kids who need a real haircut, with a stylist who isn’t going to rush them. If your kid is nervous, tell us when you book and we’ll plan for that.
Short hair. Pixies, undercuts, shaved sides, longer-on-top shapes, buzz, every short shape in between. Short cuts need the most consistent maintenance to keep their line, so we’ll talk through a return cadence that fits your schedule.
Long hair. Layered cuts, blunt long cuts, face-framing, dusting and reshaping for grow-out. If you’re growing length, regular trims do help; the goal is to keep ends healthy while still keeping shape.
Curly haircuts. Curls behave differently from straight hair when wet, dry, and styled, and they need to be cut with that in mind. We’ll talk through how you usually wear it (curly, blown out, both) and cut for the shape you actually live in. If you’ve had cuts that looked great wet but went flat or pyramid-shaped dry, mention it at the consult.
Same standard, whoever you book
Every stylist at The Parlour finishes our Advanced Education Program after beauty school. It’s 6 to 12 months long, in-house, and includes two annual events with guest artists who lead the industry. After that, stylists start at Level 1 and grow into higher levels with their clientele.
Pricing reflects experience level, which is why our haircuts start at $60 rather than fixing a single rate. The standard we hold every stylist to is the same. If you book a Level 1 stylist, you’re getting the same training foundation and the same expectations as a higher-level stylist; you’re paying for where they are on the path, not for a different commitment to your cut.

Combining your cut with other services

We finish with Kérastase, Wella, and R+Co and send you home with honest product picks for your hair type. If you’ve been buying shampoo on autopilot for years and it isn’t quite working anymore, ask. We’re happy to talk through what’s actually going to do something for you.
