Our Story – About The Parlour Boulder
This is where it started. In 1989, Gene Cahill opened The Parlour on Walnut Street in Boulder, not because the timing was ideal, but because he decided to make something work when other things weren’t. The build-out was lean, the budget tighter, but the work was good and the word started to spread.
More than thirty-five years later, The Parlour Boulder is still on Walnut Street. Every location that came after — LoDo, Fort Collins, Wash Park, Flatirons, Capitol Hill, RiNo — exists because of what was built here first. The Boulder salon laid the foundation for The Parlour way — the experience, the depth, the education.
Located just off Pearl Street in downtown Boulder, the salon carries the warmth that Boulder has been famous for.
