The color services we offer in Wash Park
Here are the most common color services we offer, with the starting price for each. Final pricing depends on your hair’s length, density, history, and the level of the stylist you book.
Root retouch (from $84). Touching up the regrowth at your roots to match your current color. The most common appointment we do, usually every 4 to 8 weeks depending on your color and how fast your hair grows.
All-over color (from $97). A single shade applied root to ends. Great for going darker, deepening your natural color, or covering gray with full saturation.
Partial highlights (from $140 maintenance, from $154 virgin). Highlights through the top and around the face. “Virgin” means we’re lightening hair that hasn’t been highlighted before, which takes more time and product.
Full highlights (from $154 maintenance, from $167 virgin). Highlights through the entire head for a brighter, more even result.
Dimensional color, baby lights, teasy lights, foilyage, root shadow (from $167). Different techniques for adding depth, softness, or a more grown-out look. Your colorist will recommend what fits your hair and your maintenance window during the consult.
Money piece and face-framing brightness. Often added to a highlight service or done on its own for a low-commitment change.
Gray blending and full gray coverage. Two different goals. Coverage hides every gray with opaque color. Blending uses highlights and lowlights so grays read as natural-looking dimension instead of regrowth, which means longer stretches between appointments. We’ll be honest about which suits your gray pattern.
Tone, glaze, gloss (priced by consultation). The shine and tone refresh between bigger appointments. Quick, gentle, and great for pulling brass out of blonde or warming up a cool brunette.
Color correction and creative or transformational color (priced by consultation). If you’re coming in from a box dye, a bad bleach, or several years of buildup, we need to see your hair in person before we can quote it honestly. We’d rather have a real conversation than throw a number at you.

The stylists doing your color and the products we use
Every stylist at The Parlour completes our Advanced Education Program after beauty school. That’s 6 to 12 months of in-house training plus two annual events with world-renowned guest artists. After that, they start at Level 1 and move up as their clientele grows. Pricing reflects experience level, which is why you’ll see a range on every service. Whoever you book, you’re getting someone who’s been put through the same training program.
We work with Wella, Kérastase, and R+Co. Wella drives most of our color work. Kérastase and R+Co are what we reach for at the shampoo bowl and what we send people home with when their color needs specific support.
Booking your color appointment
Every new color client gets a real consultation, either at the start of the appointment or as a separate visit if your goal is a bigger change. Bring photos of what you like and, if you have them, what you don’t. We’ll talk through cost, time, upkeep, and whether what you’re after is going to work on your hair right now or whether we need to build to it.
The Wash Park salon welcomes all gender identities, hair types, and backgrounds. If you’ve ever felt like a salon wasn’t for you, we want to be the one that is.
Book at our Wash Park location or call (303) 733-0016. You can also see the salon page or browse our color services menu.

Starting prices: root retouch from $84, all-over color from $97, partial highlight from $140 (maintenance) or $154 (virgin), full highlight from $154 (maintenance) or $167 (virgin), balayage from $194. Gray coverage uses opaque color to hide every gray, usually at the root every 4 to 6 weeks. Gray blending uses highlights and lowlights so grays read as soft dimension, which stretches your appointments and grows out softer. We’ll recommend one or the other based on how much gray you have and where it sits.
Anything that involves undoing previous color before we can do new color. Box dye removal, evening out banded highlights, fixing brass or green, taking someone from black back to blonde. It’s priced by consultation because we have to see your hair to plan it honestly.
Most clients come in every 4 to 8 weeks. Faster if you have a lot of gray or a high-contrast color, longer if your natural color is close to your color formula. Your colorist will give you a specific window after your first visit.
Yes, and it’s one of the things this team does most. See our balayage page for details, pricing, and how it differs from traditional highlights.
