The methods we offer
Hand-tied extensions are sewn onto a small beaded row across your head. They lie flat, move naturally, and are a popular choice for adding smooth, even fullness, especially for finer hair that needs a lighter, lower-tension option.
Tape-in extensions are thin, pre-taped sections set close to the scalp in sandwiched layers. They’re quick to apply, sit flat under your own hair, and are easy to move up as your hair grows. A solid all-rounder for length and volume.
K-tip (keratin tip) extensions, sometimes grouped with fusion, are small individual bonds attached strand by strand using a keratin tip. Because they’re applied in tiny sections, they blend well and give you flexibility in how you wear your hair. We feature K-tips as one of our go-to methods.
Fusion extensions are individual strands bonded to your own hair. Like K-tips, they’re applied piece by piece for a natural, blended finish, and they suit clients who want individual-strand placement.
Clip-in extensions are the no-commitment option. You put them in and take them out yourself, which makes them great for events or trying length before you decide on a longer-term method. If you’ve got a downtown wedding or work event coming up, this is often the easy starting point.

Why we start with a consultation
There’s no published starting price for extensions, and that’s on purpose. The right method, the amount of hair, and the install time all change based on your texture, density, and color, so a flat number wouldn’t be honest. In your consultation we’ll look at your hair, talk through your goals and your routine, recommend a method, and give you a real estimate before anything gets booked. We also won’t promise a specific result before we’ve seen your hair, because everyone’s hair is different. What we will do is tell you plainly what’s realistic, including whether extensions are the right call for your hair’s condition right now.
Do extensions damage your hair?
Honest answer: any method adds weight and attachment to your own hair, so proper installation, the right method for your density, and good home care all matter. Done well and maintained on schedule, extensions can be worn comfortably. Done poorly or worn too long without maintenance, any method can put stress on your hair. That’s a big part of why we insist on a consultation, so we match the method to your hair rather than forcing a one-size approach.
Matching your color
We can color-match your extensions to your current shade, and if you’re also thinking about lightening or adding dimension, we can plan that together. A lot of clients pair extensions with a color service like balayage, and doing both in a coordinated way usually gives the most blended result. We carry Kérastase, Wella, and R+Co to help you keep everything looking its best at home.
How to start in LoDo
Every Parlour stylist finishes our Advanced Education Program after beauty school, six to twelve months of in-house training plus two annual events with world-renowned guest artists, then starts at Level 1 and grows alongside their clientele. Whoever you book, you’re getting the same standard. We’re Colorado-owned and Colorado-grown, in LoDo since 1996, and everyone is welcome here: all gender identities, all hair types, all backgrounds.
