What we cut
We cut everyone. Women’s, men’s, gender-affirming, kids, short, long, and everything in between. Fine, medium, thick, straight, wavy, curly, coily.
Women’s haircuts. Long layers, blunt bobs, lobs, shags, curtain bangs, pixies, mid-length shapes that grow out properly. We spend real time on the consultation because a good cut has to match your face, your texture, and how you actually style at home.
Men’s haircuts. Scissor cuts, tapers, fades, clipper work, longer men’s shapes with definition. We do plenty of maintenance cuts and just as many bigger changes.
Gender-affirming haircuts. Yes. Plainly. All gender identities are welcome here. Bring a reference or describe what you want, and your stylist will build the shape with you.
Kids’ haircuts (twelve and under). Kids twelve and under start at $30. First haircuts, growing-out phases, cuts that need to survive a school year. Our stylists are patient. If your kid has never been in a salon chair before, tell us and we’ll set the appointment up to make it easier on them.
Curly and coily haircuts. Curly hair is its own thing, and the cut has to respect the curl pattern. We consult first, dry or wet based on what makes sense for your hair, and cut for the shape your curl actually forms.
Short, long, and everything in between. Same standard either way. A long-hair trim gets the same real consultation as a full pixie.
How our stylists are trained
Every stylist at The Parlour has completed our Advanced Education Program after beauty school. That’s six to twelve months of in-house training plus two annual events led by guest artists from the wider industry. Everyone starts at Level 1 and moves up as their clientele grows. Pricing reflects experience level. The quality standard does not.
Whichever stylist you book at Flatirons, you’re booking someone who has been through the same training system that has kept The Parlour’s cutting standard consistent across the brand since 1989.
Products and pairing
We finish and maintain hair with Kérastase and R+Co. Your stylist will send you home with a small, honest set of recommendations, not a full basket.
Most clients get their cut and color from the same salon. Fresh color always looks better on a fresh shape. See Hair Color for the full color menu, or Balayage for painted work. If length or density is the goal, Hair Extensions, and mention extensions when you book so we can plan the appointment properly.
The Broomfield location
The FlatIron Crossing area works well for a lot of our clients as a Denver-and-Boulder middle-ground salon. If you’re used to driving to Cherry Creek for a haircut or up to Boulder, we’re the halfway option that saves the trip. Parking is easy. It’s not downtown. Everyone welcome: all gender identities, all hair types, all backgrounds.
