About Me

Hometown:Longmont, Colorado

When I started doing hair: 1988

When I started at The Parlour: 1994

What inspires/motivates me in the industry:

The awe-inspiring people that I am blessed to surround myself with every day. I am lucky enough to be in a field where I can affect people directly; affect their daily lives, their style, their look or just their approach to life in general. Even a quick 15-minute bang trim can touch someone in a special and uplifting way.

What I am happiest doing:

Spending time with my husband Alex, my kiddo Victoria and our two dogs, Bella and Roxie. We travel, cook and bake together, whether we are here in beautiful Colorado, or traveling somewhere in this exciting and inspiring world. We also love to attend live music and enjoy all of the amazing local bands, especially when it is outside and we can camp and hike while we are there! We are huge Broncos and Rockies fans and make sure we hit the the games each season.

Additional industry involvement:

As an employee of The Parlour Boulder since August 1994, I have watched it evolve and blossom, and I am so happy and blessed to be apart of its growth! I have had the privilege of being involved with all aspects of the salon, behind the chair and in front of the Assistant Program classes. As the Education Director for our Advanced Education Program since 2015, I love to help our future stylists and leaders grow and improve their craft.
I also love being a Wedding Team leader, coordinating in-salon and on location wedding parties and events. As an Artistic Team member, I enjoy creating trend releases for hair and makeup and participating in photo shoots and runway fashion shows.

What I love most about The Parlour:

It is all about the people. I am astounded and awed on a daily basis by the talent that surrounds me. The diversity of the people in front of me and the ones next to me behind the chair. I appreciate and admire everyones willingness to accept their fellow humans uniqueness.

What else you should know about me:

I have a strong love and devotion to the people in my life. The willingness to help in any way I can, whether it is professional tutoring, help with a new technique or product, mentoring or just a shoulder to lean on.
