We do a lot of haircuts at our RiNo salon. Women’s, men’s, kids, short, long, curly, fades, the cleanup haircut you book between color appointments. A meaningful chunk of our weekly book is men’s haircuts, which is worth saying out loud because plenty of salons aren’t actually set up for it. We are. Adult haircuts start at $60. Kids’ haircuts (12 and under) start at $30.

How the appointment works
Every cut starts with us listening. Before any scissors come out we want to know what you usually ask for, what you wish your last haircut had done differently, what you can and can’t do at home in the morning, and whether there’s a photo on your phone we should look at together. People sometimes apologize for bringing references. Please don’t. They help us a lot.
Then we cut. Then we dry and finish so you can actually see what the cut looks like styled, not soaking wet.
The cuts we do
Men’s haircuts (from $60). Fades (low, mid, high, skin), tapers, scissor cuts, longer textured styles, crops, classic side parts, grown-out shag, beard line cleanup, you name it. If you’ve been going to a barbershop for a fade and want to start growing out the top into something more styled, we’re the right kind of place to bridge that. If you’ve never come to a salon for a men’s haircut before, you won’t be the only one in the room today.
Women’s haircuts (from $60). Long layers, blunt cuts, lobs, bobs, shags, curtain bangs, micro bangs, pixie cuts, the careful trim that doesn’t take any length, the dramatic chop. We cut to your face shape, your hair texture, and your actual styling routine.
Gender-affirming haircuts (from $60). This is a haircut. Same starting price, same chair, same standard. You can ask for the cut you want without translating it through other categories. If you’re trying a new shape for the first time, we’ll talk through what works with your hair texture and growth pattern, then cut accordingly. If you want a stylist with specific experience here, mention that when you book and we’ll match you.
Kids’ haircuts, 12 and under (from $30). Quick, kind, and patient. We do first haircuts and the in-between cleanups. If your kid is nervous, tell us when you book and we’ll plan for that.
Short hair. Pixies, crops, undercuts, buzz cuts, shaved sides, longer-on-top shapes, every short shape in between. Short cuts get a bad rap for being “easy,” and they’re actually the opposite. We pay attention.
Long hair. Maintenance shapes, layering for movement, dusting just the ends. The “I don’t want to lose any length but my hair feels heavy” appointment.
Curly and textured. Cut to your curl pattern, dry-cutting when it makes sense, with styling guidance for what to actually do with it at home. Bring your normal product so we can see how your hair behaves.
Same standard, whoever you book
Every stylist at The Parlour finishes our Advanced Education Program after beauty school. It runs 6 to 12 months, in-house, and includes two annual events with guest artists who lead the industry. After that, stylists start at Level 1 and grow into higher levels with their clientele.
Pricing reflects experience level, which is why our haircuts start at $60 rather than fixing a single rate. The standard we hold every stylist to is the same. If you book a Level 1 stylist, you’re getting the same training foundation and the same expectations as a higher-level stylist; you’re paying for where they are on the path, not for a different commitment to your cut.

RiNo, River North Community
We’re on Blake Street in the River North Art District, in the neighborhood since 2017. We’re open seven days a week with extended evening hours. That’s why a lot of our RiNo regulars are people who work in or near the neighborhood and can’t do a midday appointment. If the 38th & Blake RTD station is on your commute, we’re a short walk from it.
All gender identities, all hair types, all backgrounds are welcome here. That isn’t a separate program or a special offer or a tagline. It’s how the salon runs.
Combining your cut with other services
Plenty of clients book a cut and color together. Color services start with root retouches from $84 and run through the full menu. For hand-painted balayage and modern blonding, see Balayage. If extensions are also on the list, plan a consultation first. We’ll plan the order of services so the cut works with the color, not against it.
Products
We carry Kérastase, Wella, and R+Co. We use them at the bowl and on the styling station, and we sell them at the salon so you can keep what we just put in your hair working at home. Ask your stylist what they used and why. We’ll tell you.
