Our Story – About The Parlour RiNo
When Libby Antonson opened The Parlour RiNo in 2017, the River North Art District was still in the middle of becoming what it is now. The murals were going up, the breweries were filling in, Blake Street was getting interesting. It was the right moment to plant a flag in the neighborhood.
The RiNo salon opened at 3040 Blake Street and grew with the neighborhood around it. Today it’s one of the Parlour’s most active locations, with expanded hours seven days a week and a team that reflects the creative, forward-thinking energy the River North district runs on.
The work here covers the full range: cuts, color, balayage, extensions, men’s grooming, bridal styling, and makeup, and the team brings both technical precision and a creative sensibility. The RiNo salon offers the full range of Parlour services — haircuts for men and women, balayage, highlights, full color, color correction, toning, glazing, grey blending, hair extensions, bridal styling, makeup application, and customized hair treatments using Wella and R+Co products.
For standard cuts or single-process color, 1–2 weeks in advance is typically sufficient. For balayage, extensions, or multi-step color work, 2–3 weeks is recommended — particularly for weekend appointments. New clients are always welcome. Book online through the website or the Parlour app.
